Job Description:  Field Director 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

 

  • Oversee implementation of all aspects of field operation, including direct voter contact, field events, volunteer recruitment and activities and neighbor to neighbor communications.
     

  • Oversee implementation of GOTV plan.
     

  • Work with partner organizations to conduct direct voter contact, coordinating activities and avoiding duplication of efforts.
     

  • Managing field staff, training, developing goals and ensuring they are met, creating and managing reporting matrix and reports.
     

  • Managing paid canvass operation, including training, staff management and payroll.
     

  • Working with campaign manager and consultant to develop field materials, scripts and targeting. 

 

Applicants for the position should be hard-working, able to work long hours under pressure and deadlines, possess good communication skills, and also have the ability to manage several different tasks and maintain a sense of humor at the same time.  Experience working in a campaign field operation is helpful, as is political experience.  Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.
