Top Priority: Education

Advocating for our Schools

You can’t have a great community without great schools. Redwood City’s schools receive much less funding relative to our peers on the Peninsula. We must come together with Redwood City School Boards and City Council members to make schools a top priority for our community. I believe all children in Redwood City, regardless of zip code, deserve a world class education. If elected, I would be the only City Council member with children in the Redwood City public schools today.

My record on public education is strong and my plan for supporting our schools is ambitious. I worked to pass Measures T and U which provided much needed funding to our schools. I am a board member of the Redwood City Education Foundation which raises funds for all schools and I support Schoolforce. Most important, my children will enter Redwood City’s public schools next year. I am fully invested in the future of our schools.

"I am proud to have the support of school board members across each of our school districts."
